Carlsbad and Concord, CA – September 1, 2009 — AESC has been awarded a 3-year contract to support Pacific Gas & Electric’s Integrated Demand-Side Management program. The program will result in significant energy savings for PG&E’s customers and resulting reductions in carbon emissions from fossil-fueled electric power plants. The program is designed to assist PG&E’s customers with evaluation and installation of equipment and techniques to lower their energy costs while saving energy and reducing demand.
AESC’s contract has been funded through March 2010 for $ 1.5 million with an estimated total contract value of $ 6 million for all three years. Over the course of the contract, AESC will support PG&E’s Integrated Demand-Side Management program in four primary areas, which include PG&E’s:
- Integrated Audits,
- Non-Residential-Demand Response programs,
- Non-Residential (Industrial & Agricultural) New Construction programs, and
- Calculated Energy Efficiency Service.
AESC will audit energy use at large customer sites; calculate energy, demand and cost savings from various measures; recommend the most attractive measures for implementation; and verify the installation and proper operation of energy saving measures. The work will be coordinated through AESC’s Concord office with technical assistance from AESC’s other California locations in Carlsbad, Pasadena and San Diego.
