The theme for the 2014 Energy Summit is The Great Energy Debate: Beyond 33% and the Future of the Salton Sea and will unite over 600 industry, government and educational sector leaders throughout Southern California to foster clean energy opportunities and create a sustainable region.
The first day of the Summit on Thursday October 9th will feature a free Green Building Bus Tour hosted by the Coachella Valley Association of Government’s Green for Life and CV Upgrade programs. Day two of the Energy Summit on October 10th, will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center and feature educational sessions, keynote presentations, panel discussions and an exhibit hall of cutting-edge green technologies and vehicles. Key topics to be discussed include California’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS), climate change and drought, green building, advancing rooftop solar, utilizing big data to build smart cities, the Desert Renewable Conservation Plan (DRECP), and clean transportation to name a few.
