San Diego, CA – January 9, 2013 — The California Energy Commission (CEC) announced today that it has approved funding for Alternative Energy Systems Consulting, Inc. (AESC) of Carlsbad CA to install three publicly accessible DC fast chargers by RWE and eight dual RWE Level 2 eStation Smart Systems. These projects are part of a larger initiative at UCSD that is also receiving CEC funding to advance development of their microgrid to include renewable energy, transportation, power generation and energy storage technologies.
