Chaz is a certified Investor Confidence Project – Quality Assurance Assessor and reviews large commercial energy retrofit projects to ensure projects follow industry standard practice for calculation methodology and measurement and verification plans. Chaz supports SEM programs by providing statistical regression modeling and M&V expertise. In addition, he provides technical review of commercial and industrial incentive applications submitted through energy efficiency programs for existing AESC utility clients, including Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) Customized Retrofit, Savings by Design, the SOC/CDCR Statewide Partnership and Duke Energy’s Smart$aver.
Chaz also conducts inspections of installed efficiency measures, providing engineering support and recommendations for program participants, and reviewing and verifying energy savings calculations. Energy efficiency projects include interior and exterior lighting, compressed air systems, pumping and motor retrofits, and HVAC upgrades, all with the aid of software tools like Excel, eQUEST and Energy Pro.
