What is the GRFS Program?

The Groceries, Restaurants, and Food Storage Program targets grocery stores, restaurants, and food storage warehouses throughout SDG&E’s service territory. The program offers a multi-channel delivery approach tailored to address the diverse needs of the market, from the largest national chain accounts to small, hard-to-reach locally owned restaurants and corner stores. Savings are paid and measured either through population level normalized metered energy consumption (pop-NMEC) or site level NMEC (site-NMEC), and deemed rebates are also available for sites not eligible for a measured savings approach.
